In short
Just Senior Singles guides are written for people over 50 and checked against primary sources: government agencies, regulators, charities and each organization's own website. Every external fact is linked to its source, every page shows the date it was last updated, and corrections can be sent through the members help center.

Who writes the guides
Our guides are written and edited by the Just Senior Singles editorial team and published under the site's name. We write for people over 50 who may be dating for the first time in decades, so we explain technology plainly and never assume you've done this before.
We don't put invented names or job titles on articles, and we don't claim a panel of experts we don't have. When we're relying on an expert body, such as the Federal Trade Commission or a national helpline, we say so and link to it.
Where our facts come from
We use primary sources wherever one exists, and if we can't confirm something from one, we leave it out. A primary source is the organization that is responsible for the fact itself: the agency that runs a reporting line, the charity that runs a helpline, or the club that runs a group.
In practice that means:
- government agencies, police and fraud-reporting services
- regulators and courts
- registered charities and national helplines
- research organizations, for survey figures, named with the year of the survey
- the official website of any club, group or event we mention
Every page lists its sources. Phone numbers, opening hours and figures are copied from the organization's own page on the date shown, but please check the source link before you call.
How we check a page
Each guide goes through the same steps before it's published or updated:
- Write for the reader's real question, with the plain answer near the top.
- Check every external fact against its primary source, and add that source to the page.
- Check every product fact, such as what's free, what's paid and how to cancel, against the members area and its published terms.
- Label examples clearly. Sample messages and profiles are marked as examples, not real members' words.
- Date the page and keep the sources list with it.
What we don't do
- We don't invent statistics, quotes, testimonials, members or success stories.
- Example profiles, messages and conversations are always labeled as examples.
- We don't say profiles are verified when they aren't. Photos on Just Senior Singles are reviewed; what members write about themselves is not.
- We don't describe other dating companies in order to borrow their names.
How local listings are checked
Our country pages, such as the US and Australia, list real groups, events and help lines. Each listing is checked against the organization's own website, and the page shows the date it was checked. We only publish what that source says: the name, the area, what it offers, and how to get in touch. No group, club or event listed on this site has paid to appear.
If we can't find enough checked local detail for a place, we don't publish a thin page for it. We'd rather have fewer pages that are right.
Our commercial interest
This website is run by High Intent Media Inc, the same company that runs the Just Senior Singles membership. We make money when people buy a membership, and we say so plainly. That's why our guides tell you what's free, what costs money, how to cancel, and what we don't check. Our safety advice, including "never send money to someone you met online", applies whether or not you join. You can read more on About us and key facts.
Updates and corrections
Every page shows the date it was last updated. When an official body changes its name, number or process and we learn of it, we update every page that mentions it. For example, our UK reporting advice names Report Fraud, which replaced Action Fraud in England, Wales and Northern Ireland on 4 December 2025. Safety and reporting details, like those on our safety page, are the first we re-check.
If you spot a mistake, a changed phone number, or a group that has closed, please tell us through the members help center; see contact us. We correct factual errors as soon as we've checked them, and change the updated date when we do.
Questions people ask
Who writes the Just Senior Singles guides?
The guides are written and edited by the Just Senior Singles editorial team and published under the site's name. We don't put invented names or job titles on articles, and we don't claim a panel of experts we don't have. Are the groups and events on Just Senior Singles paid listings?
No. No group, club, event or helpline listed on this site has paid to appear, and we don't accept payment for listings. We include an organization because it's useful to readers over 50 and we could confirm its details on its own official website. Each listing shows the date we checked it.
How do I report a mistake on the site?
Tell us through the members help center, with the page address and what needs fixing, such as a closed group, a changed phone number or a broken link. We check the correction against the organization's own website, fix it, and change the page's updated date.
